For a full day excursion, we will pick you up from your Queenstown accommodation in the morning. From here we drive for between one and two hours to take you to the waterways that will suit the weather/river conditions on the day. The landscapes range from lush green pasture to open tussock-lands to mountain beech forests and stunning high country scenery with spring creeks, freestone rivers, alluvial rivers and alpine lakes to choose between.

Heli Fishing Experience

For a full day excursion, we will pick you up from your Queenstown accommodation in the morning. From there we rendezvous with your helicopter and pilot then fly through scenic backcountry to find water best suited to the weather/conditions of the day.

If you don’t land the big one, the stunning mountain scenery and gin-clear waters will be excellent rewards in themselves until the aircraft returns us home once more. This excursion is best suited for people wanting to fish in nearby waters to Queenstown.  Those interested in rivers further a field from the region can contact us for a more detailed itinerary.

Chartered Heli Fishing Experience

Due to the nature of fishing, being able to dictate what the fish, weather and river conditions on any given day is in the lap of the gods, but to maximize your fishing time we offer the Chartered Heli Fishing Excursion.  With the flexibility of a chartered helicopter we can easily take you to the rivers best suited for your abilities and conditions for the day.  Additionally, you have the assurance that a helicopter is on the ground waiting for you at any given time throughout the day.

This experience can be combined with a scenic flight into Fiordland from Dusky Sound to Milford Sound and beyond, with landings in some of our favourite places along the way. An excellent option for the non-fishing partner to come and see some of what makes New Zealand so truly special.

A maximum of 2.5 chartered flying hours have been allocated for wide scope of exploration, fishing and the stunning scenic nature of New Zealand from the air.

Multi-day Fly Fishing Experience

The Dream Waters “Multi-day” Fly Fishing experience is what we like doing best! From 2 days to 1 month!! You tell us what you are looking for, from luxury accommodation to riverside tent camps and we can make it happen.

Using 4×4, helicopter, jetboat and hiking access, these are Fly Fishing experiences for the Angler who has an addiction as large as ours!!

These trips allow us to fish more than 1 river system and depending on river and weather conditions could find us travelling throughout Southland, Central Otago, Fiordland, or the West Coast and beyond.
