Gordy Watson and myself took a crew of mates into Preservation Inlet, the most southern fiord where we met a charter boat. The Jewel skippered by Rob Swale and his crew were on hand to bait hooks clean the catch and prepare the catch for the pot.

Flying down from Queenstown was a experience on it’s own and cruising around the sound was breath taking to say the least.

If you and your friends are looking for something out of the box give us a shout because that is what we do, we like to take you to places where the only people you will see are who you choose. The rest will be some of NZ’s most pristine landscape.

You will get to have a pretty good feed along the way as well as fresh as it comes out of the cold pure waters of southern New Zealand.

Fying down over what we consider to be one of the most pristine places on the planet, our backyard.

Ross and Lex from Brisbane at the letter box to where??

Kisby Lodge, this place and area is rich in New Zealands early history. From the gold mining to fishing, sealing, hunting, and stories and locations that will tell the tales of the early Maori explorers to the area.

Landing on the barge and meeting our boat, unreal!!

Myself and Gordy, these machines are the closest thing i know to time travel. The only way in to this place is by water or air unless you have 3-5 days to spend hiking in and out.

Our boat for the day, ready to go for a cruise

Shane with a nice Rainbow that put up a great fight, we would name this pool the Trifecta Pool after Shane, Wendy and Craig would land a fish each within an hour of fishing.

Wendy’s, Hardy “Princess” about to be put to work, these are classic reels. I think this one is about 40 years old and still going strong!!

Gordy selecting one of Craigs “Scruffy” nymphs that worked a treat!! Can you see the fish up ahead between Gordy and Craig?

Rod and Rifle at the ready with the chance of seeing Deer on the river side. No such luck, anyway there were plenty of fish to keep us busy.

Craig done the job with the Sage/Prince/Scruffy/Gordy combination. Another nice brown to the net.

As a Professional Guide, not only do you need our eyes and skills to get hooked up, but more importantly safety on the water is paramount!! Learning to read water and cross in the right places and correctly is why you need us on your side.

Snow covered mountains, beech forest to the waters edge, and crystal clear water. Dream-waters at it’s best. Wendy, Craig and Shane living the dream.

Lord of the Rings country, like i said this place is well worth more then a thousand words, much more!!

Put yourself in this picture!! Shane and Gordy hooked up on one of the most beautiful rivers in the world.

Some great guiding and fishing skills got this rainbow to the net, with smiles all round.

2 days spent on some dream-water in what we call our back yard and you get an experience that makes you smile as if it was yesterday that we were standing in gin clear water, watching wild trout feeding as if nothing else mattered. The privilage of seeing a rare blue duck (whio) and listening to it’s unique call, while listening to the sound of waterfalls and running water…. I think you get the picture….

If you want to see some of this country and cast at some wild Rainbow and Brown Trout and have an experience of a life time then best you get in touch with us.

Shane, Craig and Wendy are already thinking about the next mission, and Gordy and i know exactly where we will be going… somewhere in what we call our back yard.

This pool held 4 great fish!! Anyone want to go??

Waking up to this from our camp…. priceless….

Fiordland National Park is on the list of places to see when you visit New Zealand. Photographs don’t do the place justice, you have to see it for yourself to beleive it and more so feel it. If you have travelled from the other side of the world and your time is limited, let us organise a day that will feel like a week long journey of experiences and leave you thinking that it was all just a dream…….

We even caught some Rainbow Trout on the way. Now that is a day that is hard to forget!!

If you ever talk to Anthony and Angela Hamilton or Leon and Fiona Christianakis or Bruce and I then we will tell you how it was…..

What a way to start the New Year! The first day of 2009 was spent with the Fisher family from San Fransisco. The weather all around Queenstown was Dark, Windy and Wet!!! We managed to find some Dreamwater that kept the whole family entertained. Some great fish were caught and released, it was a pleasure for both Bruce and i to guide not only a family of passionate fisher peolple but also very technically skilled at casting and dealing with the strong head winds that greeted us for the New Year. That day will be long remembered……
